My brother put the battery in the wrong way round
then phoned and asked me why the battery terminal would not go on  ;D

best stay away from mains voltage though Opti

leave such jobs to the hired help  :y

Nominations require you to be dead. As you are posting, you are probably alive, unless they have the internet in hell (or the other place), so no you can not be nominated for the Darwin award.

You do get this months, NEAR MISS award, unless you ended up in hospital, in which case you have my sympathy and probably an infection that will lie dormant for years before killing you and all the people you have close contact with. Thus earning you a nomination.

Talking of Darwin, a couple in the US filmed themselves passing the time in a Tesla whilst in autopilot mode...

(Un) Fortunately they didn't qualify either as breeding was involved...
