As Engineers are the most intelligent beings on the planet, Albs, I hope your Cabinet will comprise mainly of Engineers (I'm one); we will help you put so many of this country's wrongs to rights.  :y 8)

Uninvestigated, TB, because Plod is far too busy persecuting motorists and collecting revenue!

Overtightened to "cure" an oil leak, maybe?
There are better devices than helicoils that were mentioned on here, but I can't remember what they are called; someone clever will be along later to advise you.

She will be on a different phase; are you sure Powerline will work?

Ron.

Huh? Different phase to who? She is not next door, but a few away, and even if on a different phase to me, that is not an issue. As far as I am aware, Powerline plugs are not phase dependent.
My 3 Aztechs work well, but I have had them for sometime, and wonder if there is better/cheaper for her now. :-\:y

Streets and/or rows of houses in any given area are usually fed with sequential phases from a 3-phase road cable: Red Yellow Green and so on, in order to balance the loading across phases.
Communication over mains power lines relies upon all units being connected to the same phase.
