Just a quick update... I’ve just phoned him and asked about access to the site again like last year, he says were certainly welcome back - I just depends on dates. :D

I asked him about May, and he said that it’s very good for him providing it’s either of the first two weekends. Would these dates be any good? Or do we want it some other time?  :question

Basically all he needs are set dates from us so he can check if it’s available, and then pencil us in!

I’ve told him it will basically be the same as last year, but on a larger scale! And he said that it’s all fine! Cars + Caravans (No hookup Unless you book a private caravan space on the hard standing) + Tents etc all welcome.  :y

Great. It's narrowed down to Sat the 3rd or 10th may. should be ok to pitch up on the friday, Because i don't know how too can someone who does please start an attendee list stating how many, tent/caravan etc  so we can establish who can make which weekend or can those who can make either add your names accordingly & we'll go with the majority. This way Ian can deal with the monies & i can book time off to help him set up & know how much curry to cook!!! I can make either weekend so start the list,
    AmigoMV6 & caravan.

Just had another thought too...

If we do it the first weekend in May, Monday 4th is a bank holiday too!  :y So your could come down for 3 nights if you wanted then (Fri-Mon)! :D Guess this would make it more worthwhile if travelling a long way too!  :y

I will more than likely be going down Friday mid dayish, to get everything setup etc. :)

The only one I can possibly do is 8th-10th, 2 adults - caravan - can do without leccy :y :y :y

That is dependent on me palming off collecting the in-laws from Gatwick on someone else ::) ::)

Glad its not the bank holiday weekend - have visions of being stuck on M1 for hours.  Saying that, the proposed 8/9/10 weekend isn't looking good for me either.

Organise it for when you can, if I can make it I will try to get up, if I can't, maybe next time....

When & if you do come, leave yours, use Northampton ring road & follow A1 Peterborough, stay on A1 til you get to York, turn right & you're there. I avoid the M1 like the plague regardless of what i'm driving. A1 also better for family/children stops when needed. :y

I don't stop ;)

A1 is just too far away - by the time I get to the A1, I could be outside Sheffield if I take the M1 ;)

Why not leave the M1 at Leicester then A46 to Join A1 at Newark ??

Tail end of the way I'd go from here.... A429, Coventry bypass M69, M1 then as said... I find the M1 is worst up around Sheffield / Leeds anyway !!
