Dumbish computer mouse question
« on: 28 January 2019, 21:20:37 »

Just installed a  simple computer game we play onto my dads computer.

I cannot beliieve how responsive his mouse is. Question is..... is it the mouse or because he uses Linux on a simiilar specced machine whereas I use win10. My mouse is maybe six years old , Genius I think, transferred along with keyboard each upgrade.

Maybe tech has moved on? If I need a new mouse any suggestions please?

If you want to speed yours up,

Ask Cortana for Mouse Settings.

It's all in there!  ;D

Using Linux here. Mouse sensitivity under "Settings -> Mouse & Touchpad"

Good luck with win10..........

I have played with the settings in Win10 previously and achieved what I thought were optimal settings.

Dont really get to compare other computers hence the question as the difference is very noticeable .

Most modern OS have a load of mouse settings, both sensitivity and acceleration.

If these are set to medium, and the mouse is too ungainly, the mouse likely had it, esp if optical.  Though the flipside is yours might be sluggish, which again could be settings or faulty mouse if optical
