I hope so, it does look like they are defusing the situation. It was a stupid decision with an irregular vote on anti-demonstration measures last week, which really ignited things last weekend. Today, the measures were annulled in a vote in their Parliament. 

Sadly today, three policemen were attacked and stabbed in Kherson with one dying.

Nice to see the anti protest law annulled.

One or two countries in the EU have been bringing in right wing measures. Here in Spain they have a bill tabled for 30,000 euro fine for filming a policeman for example.
