Was in the park yesterday & had a bit of a recce. I think Fraser's idea of meeting on the other side of the loch is a better idea. Its a bit quieter, a bigger car park, no speed bumps, hopefully less corsa jockeys kicking around & its right beside the water also

If you ain't sure of the way in, the easiest directions are
M74 south Take Jcn 6 ( follow signs for Motherwell)
Keep in the left lane on the dual carriageway & turn left into the park at the traffic lights.
Take the first left onto the boating road, carry on down the road past the boating centre on the right, carry on until you see red "No unauthorised entry" signs.Turn right into the last car park & head for the water!!
