loose wire looks like Traffic Master connector. Do you have a TM button near headlight switch ;)

I do that and pretty happy if that's what it is :)

What radio have you got fitted? Is it a factory or after market head unit?

it's the factory fitted one - think it's the CDR 2005

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Loose Wire thingy and Display
« on: 02 April 2010, 18:41:27 »
ok folks possibly me putting 2+2 together and getting 110 :) but i have the following issues.

the display on my 2000 gls facelift looks like this -

as you can see the time and temp look ok, and when i turn off the radio the date comes up too.

on the bottom one the only thing that comes up is a little yellow box with a ! that goes away within a second or two of the car starting.

now my assumption is that it is possibly related to this wire thingy which is hanging down into the drivers footwell from around the centre console part. i've got as far under there as i can but just can't seem to be able to work out where it goes.

pics of both sides to show shape and wire colours.

ok will go look then pop to the local suppliers :)

assuming that if the top brake light works that should and they don't run off seperate switches etc

ok right looked in there, and when i bring the bit out there are only 2 bulbs on it top being the indicator, bottom being the tail lights, do i need to look further in for the brake bulb?

Hey folks, got a wee issue with my brake lights...

basically the wee one top of the rear window is working fine but the 2 rear of the car are not.

I simply assumed blown bulbs but on checking i can't see any seperate brake bulbs so assume the rear lights work as the brake lights????

they work fine as rear lights though so stuck as to where to start looking.

this on a 2l x plate facelift auto saloon

any pointers as to where to start looking would be most appreciated.
