The best F1 car?

This is my choice. Raced by men who could grow proper facial hair rather than the 'downy bumfluff' of the youthful F1 drivers of today.

1960s-1980s for me, anywhere in there really. Get yourself to Goodwood Revival or the Silverstone Classic and watch them in their natural habitat.. (Plus GT40s, Cobras, E-Types, etc etc) :y

I prefer the car in it's original red and white Gold Leaf colours......similar to the Elan sprint.

Only about 450 BHP........but only about 600 KG including driver to shove along. :y

I'm working on it.. waiting on an engine right now, and some other parts that, despite being available to order, aren't actually available for ~4 weeks..

It's not even an F1 car unless it's got a Cosworth DFV in the back, in my book..

Agreed.
According to the stats the car weighs 539KG without a driver........similar to your Westfield. :)

Obviously no such thing as the best F1 car, but my favourite looks like a racing car should look.

https://silodrome.com/ferrari-312t3-formula-one-car/

Especially when driven by a certain little French Canadian. The best of the best.

Always liked the Lotus in JPS colours[and the Norton rotary engine superbike racer]also liked the open mouthed Ferrari before the wings etc started taking over. One favourite because it dared to be different was the six wheeler Tyrell.

My C**o has a red dragon and CYMRU at the side of the number plates, so as far as Im concerned its Welsh, not French.  :P

Villeneuve was the least French, French speaking bloke you could imagine. Lived within spitting distance of several of the worlds best restaurants, but only had had steak & chips, with a large glass of coke for dinner. Was completely fair, but hard as nails on the track. Was completely honest in everything he said and did. So much so that Ecclestone hated him, because he happily told Journalists (and Ecclestone to his face) that Bernie was ruining F1 by turning it from a sport into a money making circus.
And was clinically proven not to feel fear, which is very un French indeed.  :)
