Phone sim card.

Hi all ive just put a new 02 sim card into my crt 700 and it keeps coming up insert sim card. Sim card locked in place ok and inserted right way gold contact facing up. Any ideas what could be wrong. Thanks.

As I recall you are limited on choices of mobile provider with the CCRT700.

Vodafone works fine and I am sure T Mobile is fine too.

It is down to the ban the provider uses and the headunit will only support the 900mhz level.

Apologies for the not very technical comments but I am no telecoms engineer (unlike a few people here).

O2 and Vodafone should be OK, it's a GSM 900Mhz device  :-/

Orange and T-Mobile are PCNGSM 1800Mhz so don't work

Think there was something about putting PAYG cards in them though why that should cause an issue I have no idea.

O2 and Voda are only 2 900Mhz GSM in UK.  Both work fine in ccrt700.

Personally, I use a voda PAYG card in mine.

only voda and o2 on that bandwidth. I have O2
p n go in my siemens 2015 that works but not the
same radio as your tho.
Is it still firmly held it the credit case sized holder it
came in? Or maybe clean the metal contacts with a
pencil rubber if your sure its secure and the correct
Way up.

I use an O2 PAYG and divert my contract phone over when I'm in the car  :y :y :y :y :y

I know it works with Voda too because that's what was in there already!!

Do i need to register the sim card. Its brand new but radio doesnt seem to read it keep getting message please insert sim card.

Radio & cd work fine  its just the phone i am having problems with. It tells me to insert sim card and when i insert sim it still tells me to insert sim card.

yes

I put a brand new O2 card in mine and it kept saying random messages, had to top it up with £10 when i registered it and wait a few hours, then it sprang into life!

Most phones now take the small sim ?
Think radio takes large Sim
If you break it out from large sim problem geting to fit radio
with out adapter.
