Pics from Holland
« on: 09 July 2016, 15:02:59 »

Hi folks,

Had this one since january and decided to put up some pics. Itīs a ī99 facelift 2.5 and had done 105k kmīs or 65k miles! Iīve already altered a few things like B4 / Eibach combo, Executive wheels, debadged, Led lighting, different air-intake and last week the biggest update: LPG!  :D
A full tank for €16,- instead of normally paying €80,-!
Nuff said, have a wee peek...

As bought back in january.

Why would the induction kit cost power? itīs all cold air going in. Donīt know about 3.0 cams, what would that help? Would be better to drop in a 3.0 me thinks...

Thnx all for the comments.

Fitting 3.0L cams in a 2.5 ups power and torque, a very cheap upgrade,  also the standard air box is very effective and efficient.

Hi folks!

Itīs great having a flippable licenceplate holder but flipping upwards is just shite when youīre trying to attach the lpg nozzle. Add to that, you have to hold the damn thing open.....Noooo thatīs not how we roll   ;D

So today we had a little tinkering about and ended up with this....

Went from....

To this

Thatīs the way to do it!

Me hopeth you liketh.....

I like....

Im with BigGriffin on this as Iv done it myself recently :)

If you change the inlet cams for A cams and the exhaust cams for G cams, they do up the power and torque and are very effective too :)

Dropping ina 3 litre will make instant power - yes - BUT its a damn sight easier to change cams than an engine....!!

The air intake WILL lose power.... It will sound like its making power as you can hear the induction roar, but thats all it'll be doing....

Removing/deleting the EGR will make a big improvement, but I dont know how the MoT test will like it over in Holland....?

Thanks for all the comments guys!
How would removing the egr affect the engine? Iīll be needing a belt change in the near future so maybe I could get some different cams dropped in then...
Donīt know what they cost over here though.

Removing the EGR stops the TB from getting clogged up with shite and tightens up the throttle response..

It doesn't make any power but it does help....

But your road test regulations may not allow for it to be removed....

Changing the headers for the 2.6/3.2 headers and a stainless exhaust system also improves acceleration too.

Thanks guys!

I know there are many people over here who block off their egr, I just never knew why. So shouldnīt be a problem with MOT.

The main reason to block the EGR is because the owner is too mean to replace a faulty valve. Omegas rarely suffer from those, so the usual reason is changing to the later manifolds that don't have provision for EGR. That was why I did it; there is no discernible difference with it not working.
