but was it the other parties insurer/agent  , or , the other party offering Terry a bung to STFU  ;D
Terry said " I have been offered £2000 for the wreck, or £1400 and the damaged car."
so the damaged car is £600 in this instance
he'd have the damage ,paint the bumper ,to sort and an MOT soon ,is it worth the hassle  ::)
I don't know if he accepted the £1400 ,his insurance would be valid anymore  :-\
if it's a cash offer on the other hand  :P

Thanks for advice. Today I accepted the offer of £2000 for the damaged Astra. Also today Dan and bride returned from their honeymoon, then returned to London, delivering the Omega estate to Catherine. Now I seek another Astra for her. I missed an attractive 2009 Astra Design on e-bay, went for £1080, but was in Bicester, a bit far for collection.

plenty within 25 miles Terry with long MOT
as a buyer, you can haggle for a cheaper price  :y
buy retail and you have rights if the car is faulty (but check any car before buying it)

elite 105k £1250

clicky 58 plate vectra 1.8 auction  ebay 15 miles away 105K  :-\
or is a vectra too big  :-\
No, but I would prefer an Astra. Keep them coming, please. The car auctioned Saturday was very attractive, but its too late now. I am looking for an Astra, 2008 or later, hopefully not LIFE spec, petrol 1.6, hatchback, ideally within 45 miles of Midsomer Norton, mileage unimportant, some MOT left. I prefer auction to fixed price sale, and I would like to inspect before I bid. Price under £1500. MOT history not full of rust.
