Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Wanted steering idler & mounting bracket that holds it.... asap

Hi all, ive replaced my steering idler twice now & its knackered again!! killing a tire in the process in under 4000miles!
i was wondering why its been wandering all over the road i thought it was my rear subframe bushes i know are breaked!!

The o/s wheel nice & tight, n/s wheel has a mind of its own!!
approx 1" of left/right movement & i can clearly see the idler lifting up & down, so i recon its the bracket/mounting that is worn out..??
ok car has done 190000miles!! 144000 of hard police use! im guessing also the roads (potholes) dont help & running 8.5j 19s arnt going to help either...

So can anybody help?? pref by sending me the mounting with idler still attached & un disturbed... how much???

Oh also rumbling from my N/S Rear wheel but no play/noise when in air but rumbles when driving/cornering is it easier to replace bearing or complete hub..?? unknown if its a sealed unit like the fronts... cheers all

Wanted ASAP Rear N/S tail light for my 99 MV6 estate due to some idiot in a rental van who didnt know how to drive it Clipped my rear Quarter panel taking the lense compleatly off it smashing it to bits!! damaging bumper & panel work! but i need a light so i can use car i found one on ebay for £17.50 inc postage can anybody do better than that??? but i do need it asap if poss cheers all !!

SEBRING Twin tail box for 2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2 V6 omegas SALOON ONLY!

i have had this tailbox for 10years bought it brand new in 2003 & the car did only 7/8000 miles The satin black paint has flaked off it did this just weeks after been fitted but the stainless is still in perfect condition!

its been stored for 9years in the garage as it cost me £430 brand new

I NEED THIS SOLD ASAP BEEN LISTED 4 TIMES NOW

will fit all pre/mini facelift cars with No Modz but a F/L car will need the bumper re trimming & bracket flipping over so it does not rub bumper as its wider than the standard tail box exhaust trims.

Hi All Sill for sale NEED THEM GONE!!!!

For sale a brand new pair of Monroe load leveller Air assist estate rear shocks/dampers

These will fit ALL ESTATE 2.0 2.2 2.5 2.6 3.0 3.2 models without S/L rear shocks! designed as a upgrade for towing a caravan/heavy loads & work as a standard uprated damper unpressurized & will assist rear springs when inflated via a sh-radder valve which indicates to a gauge, then down 2 pipes to shocks.

so great if you tow a caravan or car trailer now & again just pump up & off you go deflate when you un-hitch!!

i payed £240 delivered & have had them 8/9months sat in garage.

im open to sensible offers i cannot return them because i didnt read the sellers terms & conditions to refund them 7days after reciept of purchase & i fitted them 2weeks after i bought them!!

i bought these New to retro fit instead of the S/L rear shocks thinking they were better than standard s/l ones but because i have lowered mine 55mm they would not work properly because the shock length is for standard ride height so instantly bottomed out, when pumped up springs fell out so i took them back off & found another pair of S/L shocks & adjusted the sensor so fitted for an hour & didnt even leave the driveway!!

General Car Chat / Can Rear camber be adjusted..???

Hi all,

Basicly as post says can you adjust the rear camber?? i know the omega loves eating rear tires anyway on inside edges!!!

iva had the rear toe adjusted smack on & front aligned perfect etc apart from 1 front struts caster is out on strut top..

anyway i know lowering an omega throws everything out camber wise fronts can be adjusted on struts perfect but rears even worse?? 1500/2000miles 3000 if im really lucky!! to a pair of rear tires is starting to get annoying & on 19s getting harder to get good 2nd hand 255 35 19s 0r 265 30 19s!!

My last pair were measured roughly from outer to inner 6.0mm 5.2mm 4.0mm 3.2mm 2mm 0.0mm wires!!!

yes both rear subframe bushes are knackered hoping to pay for the polly ones this week but is there any way of adjusting the rear camber apart from cutting/welding the rear wishbones level??? DRASTIC I KNOW!!!

please help!! i dont really want to raise it back up

Hi all does any body know of anybody running a supercharger on a 3.0/2.5 v6??

i know the V6 internals are like toffee if pushed to hard but surly if steinmetz say 0.4bar boost is enough to get neer 300bhp gota be worth a go maybe..??
As my engine has only covered 50k should still be strong enough for some mild tweeking..

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Lowered 3.0 v6 threw a 2 foot flood had no choice but now....

Last night at 2am driving back from ludlow to worcester in torrential rain after going threw loads of floods around 6/12" deep everything fine...

ok my car is 45mm lower on front & 70mm on rear i still carried on!!

i then came across a flood that as i entered it quickly came up to headlights so backed up quickly...

my ets sensor is fked so my engine elec fan doesnt work so ive been using my AC fans to keep engine cool when sat stationary,

as i sat there waiting for a larger vehical or anything to come towards me down the road so i could guage its depth the car was sat happy at 90'c with AC running,

waited & waited no cars.... nothing..... after about 15mins of waiting i went to get out of car & noticed the dry part of road was now 3" deep & touching sideskirts "rather hell that came up quick!!!"

as i started to back down the road a police 4X4 came up behind me and said the road behind me was now closed after the river had burst so my only choice was forward!!! before where i was sat would be under 3ft of water because i was in a dip!!

ahh i wondered where the water had come from....

So he said tuck up behind him & just keep going!!! or abandon my car & hope for the best.... YEAH RIGHT NO CHANCE!!!!!!!

HE DIDNT SAY THE FLOOD WAS 1/2MILE LONG & 2 FEET DEEP!!!!

as his exhaust dissapered then his bumper!! then my headlights went dark with water coming up my bonnet!!!! & my exhaust went silent!!
i could hear the revs climbing as the rear of car started to lift up & float!!! with my foot decked thinking OH...S.....T if this cuts out its scrap!!!
the 4X4 came up out of the water so did my lights as i pulled up 100ft from the flood!!!

checking my footwells ..... Umm all dry!!! bonus!!

opened boot all dry!!!
Opened bonnet engine all dry not even damp!!! awesome!!!

only prob 1cm of water in n/s foglight thats ok then or so i thort....

grill bumper alloys wipers full of twigs leaves u name it it was prob stuck in somewhere!!!

Then OH BUGGER!!!

AC STILL SWITCHED ON BUT NO FANS!! i cleared as much debris as poss but AC Fans still dead...

Have i blown a fuse...

Or a Relay???

with engine running i push AC button engine revs change but still no fans... the fuse box in engine bay still nice & dry ive looked on the forum at fuse box AC relay fuses positions but calnt see the fuse location but there are 3 fking relays!!!

Any Ideas as i need the AC fans to work till i can fix the ets switch!!

only other issue is my clutch slipping like hell but im sure it dry out in a day or so...

Hi all,
basicly as heading states will the carlton/senator 3.0 24v front shocks fit my 3.0 mv6 omega??

1 of my struts has neer seized solid & new b6 b8s are nearly £200!!

im going to use my irmscher springs on them, ive found some monroes sports for a carlton 24v brandnew pair for less than £100

but do they fit...??

i have a pair of Double D tail trims cut off an irmscher vectra b tailbox, ive sleved them onto a pair of 2.5" stainless pipes & they can be welded or bolted onto your exsisting twin tailbox, but would be better on an estate due to length!

again i will ask an oof member to upload pix for me or pm me a mob number & i will mms you pix,

£25 collected from worcester.

This stainless twin tail box when bought new was £430!! in april 2001!! specially designed & tuned for the V6 omegas,
It is the original irmscher style backbox that serbring made for irmscher but does not have the Irmscher I logo stamped into it!
Not A cheep shite aftermarket box that will ruin your fuel consumption/your ears!!!
i bought it brand new & fitted on my 2.5 V6 1994 saloon mig,
Great sound not too loud just nice burble but it was fitted with brandnew center unsooted sections!
i did roughly 3000miles before my car was written off (in sept 2001) it was then removed & stored, i was going to be fitted to my next mig but never bought another one until nov last year & its an estate!!! so wont fit & too good a box to cut & chop!!
its been moved around & getting in the soddin way for years!!
i will ask a friend on here to upload a pic or 2 Very soon below this post, it will fit all V6 saloon models but on F/L cars you may need to spin bracked & trim bumper slightly so take this into mind!!!

ide like to get around £200 if i can $:-\$ but open to sensable offers as i say pix to follow or pm me a mob number & i will MMS you pix some of the black paint has come off the box showing the stainless or i can easily flick some high temp black back on it again & it will look like new again!!

Really needs a good home & someone to liturally blow the cobwebs out of it!!!

GMASTERT will be there in the drift taxi omegas!!

as from one of the other posts about ths forums lack of fun etc etc & lack of national group meets...

what a great day out to spend with other members & view other fast vauxhalls...

the monza carlton senitor omega & now the insignia were vauxhalls rivel to the other manufactures flagship models!!

wouldnt it be great to show off the best clean & imaculate exsamples & modifyed omegas from the forum...

?

We all apreciate our omegas & spend good money keeping them going! "yes they cost a fkin fortune to run unless a tdi or on lpg!" "a bastard to service & repair" so why dont we show them off & show people that they arnt just oap taxis used for dragging caravans that people from all ages uses theres for more than that.... $:-\$

Also on my facebook account ive "liked" Total Vauxhall & they have asked to be notifyed of large meets of all types of vauxhalls for a photo shoot & poss magazine write up... so if not this show maybe if we can arrange a large meet & get the forum recignised!!!

what do you guys recon???

I Tryed to bit on the silver irmscher prefacelift bumper on ebay from tamworth that sold for £41.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!
