Can people quote there mpg for motorway mileage & at what mph average...?
& in & around town/traffic etc...?

ive been testing different driving styles over the last 2 weeks to see what mpg i get from worcester to bham over a 30mile drive leaving it in 5th gear... (3.0 24v MV6 petrol/manual gearbox ex police spec on 17" wheels)...

if i drive at 40/50 i average 32mpg @1500rpm (one evening at 2am with nothing on road as to piss anybody off!!!)
if i drive at 55/60 i average 29mpg @2500rpm
if i drive at 60/70 i get 25mpg @3000rpm
if i drive at 75/85 31mpg @3500rpm
if i drive at 85/95 26mpg @3900rpm
& no officer i havent tryed it honest 90- with needle just over the 160mph bouncing limiter @6900 in 5th!! it does 7mpg (again 2am clear road)

but why does it do better mpg at 40/50 & at 75/80?????

oh in & around bham only 21mpg
& country roads up down gears 3rd 4th 5th about 23mpg

What are your cars doing??? please post below.... is this about right???

Has any body fitted any FK coilovers or similar kits & had any problums or issues???

Hi all, if you havent already noticed my earlyer posts i have a omega mv6 ex police estate that ive lowered on irmscher springs but in doing so both rear self levellers shered & burst!!  i need asap

a pair of estate self levelling rear shocks MV6 or Elite have to be estate or..

shorter uprated rear shocks to fit upto 50mm rear drop estate

Coilovers front either model but have to fit V6 or rears half kits etc...

Any irmscher rear springs??

Any details on airbags i can mod to self level kit already on car?

Can Any body help or send me links please... cheepest ive found estate coilovers is £575.88 inc vat anybody found them cheeper but must have adjustable 20-80mm drop all round.... as some kits ive seen offer a 30mm front but 0 rear for about £400???

when i bought the car it had a standard down spec'd ex police gls interior but heated seat switches in dash, but pass side switch light came on but seat cold.... drivers side nothing no light cold seat.... as interior was typical expolice ripped full of holes stained etc i took everything inc switches headlining seats trim panels out of a cd estate, again but pass seat light comes on switch even swopped switches around & seat base only gets hot, drivers again no light no heat nothing....

does the light only illuminate if full circuit is made??

or u recon police may of tapped into the power from drivers side?? (the CD was dead no battery no engine no keys) so unsure if it even worked to start with but was free!! ive bought a pre facelift complete leather interior thats clean for £60! to fit but want to know if its a wiring or seat issue??? Thanks.

when my car is cold all fine,
(well except for headlight & suspension issues but there in other posts please view if you can help...)
After about 30mins of hard use or light 60mph cruse up motorway over 20/30miles the car after i stop then feels like i have 2 flat rear tyres feels like a thudd from 1st & 2nd gear from the back of the car?? some times doesnt happen like my last trip from worcester to leeds no probz but even after a 7mile drive threw lanes to malvern was enuf that when i stopped at junction started doing it again just really odd... any ideas?? it has covered 220.000 police miles 17.000 private & ive had it for last 3000miles giving it a right kicking but it was doing it day i picked it up.....

ive got 2ltrs of LSD spec oil for it any idea how much it needs....

could it be low on oil or any other issues??

because when i do drift her around sometimes both wheels drift nicely but next roundabout then 1 wheel will light up??? but when it does that its not thudding either...??

Hi ive got a broken headlight adjuster on a xenon headlight how do you get the lense off without damaging it??

is anybody still selling the repair ally adjusters??

Also while headlights apart i was going to smoke/black out the chrome inside lense except the area around main beam which on my car is all so now fitted with xenon hid kit  :D Dim for about 5 seconds but once charged up bright as hell!!!

anybody had any issues painting chrome areas??

HI ive got a 99v ex police mv6 estate 3.0, as the ride hight on police spec springs were huge i.e 4"+ from 225 60 15 tyres to wheel arch i found a set of imrscher red springs & front struts for £20 in a scrappy ive fitted them onto car but in doing so 1 of the rear self level shocks sheered the top pin off with an almighty bang spraying fluid everywhere! i bought off ebay a pair of monroe air assist rear shocks with pipe & guage, i removed fuse from S,L kit & after fitting them & doing what kit instructions said on test drive Very bouncy & loud knocking from rear even with guage at max in green section? i called irmscher & they said there kits are 25/30mm max drop over standard & the mv6 model is already 15mm lower as standard..? but i noticed a huge drop of 40mm on front & 60mm on rear from police spec springs but the car sits perfectly level  :)  But as shockers were still knocking  i called monroe who said that the shocks are only designed to fit cars with standard ride height & do not fit a standard mv6 & they dont list a shock for an mv6 either... ive tryed everywhere to source standard s,l shocks but priced at £180 each +vat! i calnt find anybody who do a standard mv6 shocker that can accomadate a drop of any height...? speaking to PVD, Vauxhall, LMF Vauxhall, Courtney sport etc they say only Bilstein do a B6/B8 shocker or a B12 complete kit for it now with 4xB8s & eibache 30mm springs £618.00 or FK coilovers £575.00 .... Dont know what to do... i use the car for 4 things... 1 daily driver, 2 drift racing & track days, 3 work car which means hauling upto 250kg in the boot, 4 towing a 3500kg car trailer so the S.L kit perfect & coil overs i can raise rear via spanners or use s,l to stiffen it up stop it goin too low but its trying to find a setup for all uses that dont cost a fortune... i want to try keep the drop ive got if poss just need to stiffen rear up as im running frontera front dampers modifyed to fit atmo so i can use car with small airbags wiv shraider valves but they are 20years old & 1split in bham goin over a speedbump & left rear on a rounderbout lastnight & now its bouncy again & knocking!! the airbags worked perfect if they were a bit bigger coz i cud maybe mod them into s.l system & when i have weight in rear pump them up but i still need 2 rear shocks to work lowered or raised or would standard s.l do it if i angle the sensor on rear wishbone not to raise it too high? because i got a 2nd hand one fitted them both on but as it was pumping up they lifted the car over 5" from tyre to arch then the 2nd had one blew & when deflating its self back down after the old one then blew aswel so i couldnt test the theory... i hope this kinda makes sence?? could i have a contact number if replying or if easyer mine is 07534 967604 as this is my 1st message & unsure how it all works...? hope you or anybody else can help..? Oh BTW car is now sat on 17" alloys with 225,45,17 fronts & 245 40 17 rears, from the 225 60 15 original steels that police had fitted.

Has anybody modified airbags off the S.L system & how do u regulate the hight?
& what dampers can i use for lowered rear springs apart from bilstein b8s?
