Hi all,
basicly as heading states will the carlton/senator 3.0 24v front shocks fit my 3.0 mv6 omega??

1 of my struts has neer seized solid & new b6 b8s are nearly £200!!

im going to use my irmscher springs on them, ive found some monroes sports for a carlton 24v brandnew pair for less than £100

but do they fit...??

well i ftted L.C struts to mine so senator or gsi should do yep!!! go for it, only difference will be they are stronger owing to the straight six lump being heavier

Perfect! im looking for a harder damper anyway to stiffen it up a bit!!

i just wanted to make sure that they fitted the hub bolts & antiroll bar links

Yep everything fits nicely.

The ride should be the same as carlton shocks were the same across the range - 1.8 through to 3.0 24v.  The difference was in the springs.

Well ive just purchased 2 brand new boxed Monroe front shocks for £32 the pair!! with free postage!!

even standard Boge QH ones are £65 each
Bilstein b4 standards are £129 pair

so think i got a bargain..!!

I have some Omega A struts on an Omega B - the only difference is that the Omega B struts are handed, whereas Omega A struts aren't. The handed part is the bracket for the brake hose.

Ebay old stock clearance!!! maybe selling them if i get a good deal on some coilovers!!

What about shocks and springs then for fronts and rears do any of them fit ??

yes - all.

I have an Omega B running on Omega A GSi springs and dampers. the rates seem good and the only issue is that the rear sits a little low. It was kind of an experiment, but I've left it in place.

Out of all the V-car variants I've owned, I prefer the Carlton GSi, so I used these for an experiment. To be honest, I can't tell the difference in the suspension, but the quicker steering box is definitely worth it.

I'm not really one for the "it feels stiffer, so it must handle better" approach

I have a pair of 12v Carlton springs in the shed... 
I'm planning on doing my droplinks soon so while I'm in there anyway I could always bung 'em on.

So what we need to know is the spring rates and heights for 24v estate,saloon and the turbo tractors,and for the omega aswell.
