Subwoofers
« on: 07 October 2009, 16:43:51 »

Hi, Currently been using a cheapo 2x12" sub in the boot of my miggy, driven off a modest Kenwood power amp. Managed to get the sound fairly balanced ie HiFi sound, not Boom-Boom.
Picked up a cheapish AudioPro 2-40 Ace 2x8" Sub for the hifi indoors. So that released this to go in the boot :)

Now for those that don't recognise the gray box, it's a Mission Elegant E8AS2 home sub. Houses 4x 8" pilastro units. It came without the 500WRMS Power amp. So built a panel with hefty sockets.
Initially didn't sound as good, but then realised there is a complete absence of "Boom" with bass very tight and very low - Just like it should be.

i used to have Vibe Active sub in the boot of mine till it broke, i decided not to replace it. Omega is so well built the bass was sealed inside the boot and has to be really pumped out to reach the front, which tends to be over-bass the rear passengers.

How do you find that unit for rear passengers?
