Are the back boxes the same petrol/diesel :-\
Car has twin centres and with two pipes into the back box... have seen some mention here of using a 2.0 single centre box and equivalent back box... any impact on performance/economy?

No, DTI's have a single input pipe of a larger diameter.

Ok so allowing for the twin input on the 2.2 vs the single of the 2.0 you would have thought this would be a good idea, however...
