I have been going off the XFR's recently and this car was/is a contender. The XFR's within my budget are getting a bit too old and I no longer want a car so big. So for me its a choice between a 340i and XE-S. As Kev pointed out, rear folding seats are a hard to find option. I also need electric folding side mirrors and would like the larger navigation screen. The rear seats are apparently not as spacious as a F30 3 Series. Tough choice

Who owns the black pussy?

General Car Chat / Omega replacements- what's yours?
« on: 02 June 2019, 22:16:05 »
After three Omegas I had a Zafira for three years. I hated almost every moment of ownership but looking back it was a solid car, reliable and was very useful when I moved.

Then I had a Vectra 9-3 2.0T for two years. I was happy with it right until the moment it caught fire.  It was a good example and quite rapid.

Now I have come full circle and back in another Omega but it doesn't feel as nice as it used to. The Vectra in drag was a much nicer car to drive and a better place to be in. Slightly unfair comparison because the Omega is twice the age - and still alive!

I think long term I might go German instead of British  :-X

What have you lot replaced or intend to replace yours with?

Yes I probably am worrying over nothing.

However, I contacted him after making the payment when he was supposedly still in the country and again when he said he would be back. Yes I can't collect for a while but I would've liked some sort of acknowledgement, he has my mobile number and it takes less than 30 seconds to send a text

Anyway I didn't report him to Ebay

Yeah, I'm hoping he has extended his stay (said he went Holland  ::) ) but he said he would be back Thursday, not Friday as I thought

I called and texted. I'll have to wait and see

So I thought I bagged this beauty. I was grinning from ear to ear.

Auction ended last Monday, I paid a deposit of £180 via paypal because I couldn't collect the car for a while and didn't want to mess the seller about. He said he was going abroad for a few days and will be back on Friday 17th. But I haven't heard a peep from him since paying the deposit and the number he gave me goes straight to voicemail.  ::)  I reported to paypal but I have to wait until Tuesday to escalate it but I don't know if they can reverse the payment.

I thought all Omega owners were honest old guys. I guess I was half right  ;D

No. 5

To elevate your status among your peers you needs to do this.

Serious question, whats it worth?

It is depreciating like falling off a cliff. Dealers offer around £27-30,000 which is £10,000 less than I paid around 20 months ago.

New Ford Focus money.

Tough pill to swallow. Big car depreciation sucks. I was surprised to discover M3/C63 hold value better than M5/E63. I know I'm late to the party  :-[

Yeah, I figured as much which is why I didn't claim. It would cost me more than £2.5k in the next 5 years!

Was it an Omega that was stolen?
