General Car Chat / Re: Another GY F1 Assym 2 failure?
« on: 06 April 2016, 17:13:18 »
The person who bought my car said he had to replace all four because "the inside tyre walls perished". I wasn't sure what he meant by that, he didn't clarify and I thought he had been done. They were less than three years old

Just checking over TBE earlier ready for a trip to mums, I notice one of the Goodyear Eagle F1's has brown marks around sidewall. Had this on 2 others a year or 2 back (which GY Dunlop did admit liability as something that shouldn't happen)

So of the 6 GY F1's I've had on Omegas, 4 have suffered failures.

Another manufacturer off the list :(

Add my 4 to that list

Omega General Help / Radiator drain plug
« on: 24 October 2015, 16:50:48 »
I replaced my drain plug today with a new one earlier because I suspected the old one was leaking. The old one had a penny washer on it. Did this need to go back on because I didn't refit it.  :-\

Anyway I'm pretty sure this wasn't the source of the leak as the O rings looked good and there was a greasy wet patch above it but time (and a dry day) will tell!

Luckily mine is off the road  :o

Mine vibrates (or did it squeak?) from the dash over certain types of roads. Can't remember now as its been a very long time since I last drove it

Omega General Help / Key fobs
« on: 13 October 2015, 22:43:15 »
The buttons on my key fob are very stiff. It's a pattern fob that possibly came from ebay. Everything works fine just bloody annoying!

Are there any decent sellers on ebay or do I need to speak to Martin Imber or GM? Just need the outer fob with (softer) buttons.
