Primary feed is direct from battery with a 100A fuse (or two) and cut off key under the bonnet. Feed then runs to the boot and all the switching relays.

Items like radio were butchered into the feeds for rear lighter/behind the fuse panel.

Runlock was almost certainly spliced into the primary positive line from the ignition. I made my own using a couple of relays switched by the foot brake light switch and hand brake light switch. On an auto, the shift interlock would serve just as well.

When I bought mine direct in '09 I swapped out the interior and removed several meters of dead headed wiring from it. When it came to reinstalling everything more or less as was, I made my own looms routed the way everything had been when I had stripped it.

I had also acquired a pair of basic blue/red/headlight/siren boards which gave me all the foundation of how to wire it all up. Also the Optilink, siren and flasher units all came with a copy of the installation wiring diagrams. The light bar didn't, but I was readily able to get it online.

Net result was thus:

Obviously the Irmscher bits were swapped with standard, including the original 5 spoke 16"s. Note keys in tailgate lock and engine running  8)

Sadly all the wiring diagrams went with the car. Last I heard, it was in Eire being battenburged.

It’s the wiring under the dash, behind the fuse box

The problem you going to have Jim is that after leaving Millbrookj every Force did there own tweaks and mods on them, so there not really going to standard wiring set up.

Which Force did it come from?, Ive still got some contacts from Engineers at the Main Met Garage, Kent and Suffolk, Josh did have some contacts at Thames Valley, and Simon (Pool) had quiet a few. Having said that were 15 to 25 years on now on the Police Omegas so a lot of original Garage Folk have moved on.

It’s Ex Grampian Police, it’s unusual because it’s a 04 plate

Once you start digging any points where the car loom was spliced into should be obviously taped up after decommissioning. Probably.

Vauxhall didn't provide dedicated power connections, so there were a few bits wired into dash feeds, namely the redundant feeds to things like the heated seat switch plugs or tapped into the live feeds to the cabin fuse box (red for permanent and black for switched).

Everything else was powered from the a dedicated main from the battery, usually to the boot via the left hand sill (following the original loom).

Net result is usually summat like this behind the back seat...

There was a chap on here who had redone a Thames Valley Omega estate which was detail perfect... Mr Moffat iirc, might be some of his pictures knocking around.

Some of the Forces bought some last ones to Stock Pile and were Registered for use in 2004, I seem to remember someone had a 2005 but cant for the life of me remember who or where or what happened to it.  :-\

Thames Valley had a couple of September registered '54 estates, of which I had one, and a couple of February registered '54 and one or two March registered '05 saloons. All in go faster white :D

There were also several '04 registered cars, mostly Thames Valley and Lincolnshire registered. Not sure if the Scottish cars were bought centrally or by individual forces, but circa 2012, there was a job lot of unregistered plod spec vehicles sold from storage, including 4 Omega estates.

Certainly a handful of forces bought some of the last Special cars from the factory to keep on ice until required. Obviously none were built after June 2003.
