Dear Ian
We thank you for your valued enquiry and have pleasure in quoting as follows: NiMH battery AB2761 for the Car Alarm (Audi and Vauxhall Omega Powersounder).
The original battery for this unit was 2 button cells each 3.6 volts 150mAh (Emmerich batteries that are now obsolete). The 2 batteries were set side by side in the alarm unit with a spring connector inside the “figure 8” battery location to connect them in series, and 2 more spring connectors to connect to the circuit board. There is no direct equivalent to the obsolete Emmerich batteries so this battery (Univercell AB2761) is offered as single 7.2v 150mAh battery to do the same job inside the alarm. Some modification will be required to the plastic moulding of the battery location in the alarm. The new battery is 7.2volts so the spring connector inside the “figure 8” battery location is not required. Connection to the circuit board can be by the existing spring connectors on the board or by soldered connection to the tags on the battery. Please observe the battery polarity and install correctly, red is positive. Take care to avoid short circuit when installing the battery.
See pictures attached to email. If the user can suggest any detailed changes to improve the design please contact Univercell. These batteries are made to order.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Diagnostic Fault Codes

Thanks Dave. Interestingly enough though a mate of mine took me to his friends garage first and he had a diagnostic machine but on his one it cam up with '3 undesignated faults'.

It was him that actually suggested that in the light of that coming up that only a Vauxhall garage would be able to diagnose the fault.  In terms of location though, I live in Bushey, Hertfordshire which is near to Watford.

Put this in User  CP  [see tabs at top of page] then edit profile  :y

What about 2 of these ?

or

Not sure what the difference is other than price?

I think  earlier powersounder  models had two button cells by emmerich Z3A120 very hard to find. See  maintainance guide for more info.

plenty of facelift 2000 2.5's out there, so guess it will be.

whats your budget

you can get engine codes free with a paperclip

to middle ground "My Naff Code Reader" at £600, all ecus & live data etc

to real tech2 at £2000, the whole works and programming  :y

Or the cheaper Opelscanner - £340.00which will do all of that.  :y
