Crank Shaft Sensor - Which One?
« on: 01 February 2008, 13:08:12 »

Sorry for not very technical info given, this is CBS2's other half!!

Ok, been onto garage for price for new crank shaft sensor and it keeps coming up with 2 options.  Not at car at mo so can't give garage chassis no.  They faxed me through piccies of them, One of them has a flat top and is around £77 other has a slightly slanted top and is about £56.  Does anyone have a clue as to which one it might be.  Also told by another supplier that one plug is circular and other is rectangle, different prices this time.

Car is on 'T' plate 1999. 2.5 elite
Any help gratefully accepted.

Likely to be the cheaper plastic one (90540743 - £48+VAT) on a T plate, rather than metal one (90492006 - £77+VAT), but check near oil filter if poss if crank sensor mounting (if plastic or metal).

My '98 was the cheaper one - this has a rectangular connector with rounded sides.

Hope this helps in some way
