If you get on well and know the garage that will do the MOT, could ask them what the reputation of the sellers is like. I would love a 159 estate as they look so nice. Had a Sud years ago, mental little car :D

As you are going with the stainless nut and bolt method of refixing the heat shields, are your bolts long enough to consider putting the bolt through from the inside, bolting uo tight then fitting the heat sheild and putting on another nut so as to not require removing the carpets i the future if you ever need to remove the sheilds again DBG?

Service history helps if its been reguarly maintained. Sold my Carlton GSI manual with 375k on it and still driving perfectly. It made way for the superior FL model Omega I bought

i did the 1200 grit and then the 2000 grit (superfine) sand and G3 polish on mine. Took about 15 minutes a lamp. SWMBO has a Hyundai that was bad as well, used same method on that with same good results. Just take your time and dont panic when you see the lens completly white after sanding, the polish will bring it back to clear quite quickly

Used to be that all seat belts had to conform to a BS statute. All bolts would have the same thread size, some longer than others. Dont konw if this is still the case with all the EU conformaty nowdays. If it is the same, could be that the differant part numbers may be differant head size and length

Vauxhall is opening the heritage centre on Sunday 5th October and is also allowing an autojumble in the car park. The museum is open and a good burger bar is there on the day. Free entry, further details should be on the VBOA website for start times. I will be autojumbling with another ABS member

While owing my 2.5 TD estate, I bought a job lot of filters for the car. As 2.5 TD owners will know, there are three types of oil filters for these engines. I am now sorting out my no longer needed stock of these filters and have the following for sale
90511738/93180820 GM oil filter   £2 each or £30 the lot (20 filters)
90542604/93180093 GM oil filter   £2 each or £12 the lot (7 filters)
93183042 GM  Fuel Filter       £4 each or £30 the lot (9 filters)
i also have 6 new Balco glow plugs for the same engine, £20 the set
All the above plus postage
I will be at the vauxhall Heritage centre on October 5th in the autojumble being held in the car park

I sold it to make way for the Monza. New owner was torn between Omega and Rover75. He has since had gearbox problem that I assume is sorted. I did include an AR35 in the sale ready for the upgrade with chip
