Two weeks ago I fell and broke my hip bone and have been in hospital ever since - bloody painful!
I am virtually immobile and have only just managed to get a Wi-Fi connection, so lots of catching up to do.
I've been brilliantly well looked after, but recovery will take some weeks - walking frame and baby steps!

Have you had a hip replacement? :-\

No hip replacement, just a splint/scaffolding screwed into the bone, which is said to be quite strong.
I've had to turn don my invitation to Strictly Come Dancing, though!

*Mentally as much as physically.

Get well soon chap, it's a year to the day since I went in for my 17day stint so I really do feel for you!
As Dr G said, try to avoid mental atrophy and find yourself a nubile young nurse (or three)!

Get well soon and be sure to get all the physio / exercise you can , mobility can be affected by this sort of injury ( as my father in law can testify sadly ) :(
