If you can find a friendly 'smart' repair person they can 'measure' the colour your actually is now and mix appropriately.

Steve

those machines are expensive and not all shops have them..

and here is the so called measuring spectrum analyser ::)

"OK, this topic is right up my alley (I own a body shop... thats my day job). The "camera" that is marketed by PPG has 5 "eyes" behind what you would consider the lens. Each eye is set at a different angle with one pointing straight onto the color sample. As you place the camera on to the sample, you actually make contact with the surface, completely blocking out any outside lighting source. The camera reads and analizes the color at face value and at several angles. After plugging the camera into the computer and sending the info to the software the computer runs through as many as 70,000 color formulas already stored and tries to search out the closest match. If there is not a close match, the computer will formulate its own formula strickly from the color sample provided. Sounds pretty cool, eh? Now for the bad news... This item rarely gives the results you would hope for. In 15 years of using the "Profit" camera, I have only had it "hit" a color a handful of times. sometimes it wll get you into the ballpark, but most of the time its not even close.I used it couple of weeks ago on a dark silver, and it couldn't even detect the correct metalic size, IN SILVER! I ended up making my own formula from scratch (which is more common the the prefered result)."

According to the ICI paint manager there are two variants.

In 2008 they brought out a darker version.

Early code : VAN7B  ;D
later code :  2XJBB
