It certainly does work for a short while but the dreaded light is back on glowing at you before you know it.

the orange engine light problem seems to be the oxygen sensors, as I replaced 2 of them and this improved things somewhat so not unduly worried when the light returns which can be anything between 20 and 200 miles of driving
The problem with the 3.2 from what I can gather could also be related to and include catalytic converter and exhaust manifold - just annoying when it happens, but less trouble at the present time to reset it and continue to monitor problem rather than the potential required repairs/replacement at the present time

If its cat efficiency its totally down to the pre-cats getting tired, easy to fix by relocating the O2 cat efficiency sensors to post the main cats (I have done loads!)

Changed the coolant, replaced the expansion tank and washed the BMW.

Now (coolant) leak free and shiny 8)

Need to consider replacement it with another estate in due course pending the imminent arrival of a new puppy... ::)

Watched the video footage of a scrote trying the doors of the BMW.. Then went out to find the Skoda unlocked (my fault coming home in a hurry last night) and contents ransacked. Bet he was very unhappy the office garage opener didn't let him into the house..

Little (big) shit.

Fortunately he only got away with a pair of (prescription) sunglasses which were my old Rx, and a zip-up hoody, which I think is what he puts on at the end of the video (after checking the pockets).

Reported it to the police, got a crime ref number - not for my benefit, just in case he's done worse elsewhere, really.. emailed them the video. Miracles of modern technology..

And now I double, triple check the cars are locked like an OCD nutcase every night ;D
