Gay of E
« on: 08 August 2019, 16:59:42 »

This weeks 4 items...

2 are faulty
1 is fake and doesn't actually fit where its designed to go
1 looks OK

On the upside, all have turned up within the expected time.

Of the 3 faulty/fake, I can only get a response from one seller, who claimed it was fine, and has now since gone quiet since I sent the photos.

Of those 3, ebay will allow me to return 2 using their system. The other, although I specified from UK I got a Chinese paypal receipt, I suspect they are expecting me to cough the cost of return, and I bet that return address will end up being China.

anything faulty or not as described can be refunded in full via paypal , open an ebay claim X3
so all 3 items can be refunded
sellers of fake or faulty items are responsible for return post
ask for a pre paid return label IF they want the faulty/fake item returned ,which most sellers don't ,because postage and hassle is not worth it ,
at least you are no longer on the delivery black-list *   ;D

*at the moment  ::)

https://www.which.co.uk/documents/doc/reject-a-faulty-item-letter-template--301767.doc

Covers it all really. :y
Reliant on the will of Paypal etc, because only one item is likely to be covered if I end up having to take it to small claims, as others are under £100.

That said, ebay usually come down on side of purchaser if the seller CBA to respond.

Although we're only talking a few hundred quid in total, its the hassle of it all.  I cant really afford to lose a few hundred quid but I could still eat, but so many people *really* cant afford to.

Scum. The lot of them.

Well, the chinky seller is insistent I send back this £20 item at my expense (£13.50), and the address given is unreadable by the UK delivery companies, as you cant even make out a country.

Lets see how this pans out.  But its all just hassle  >:(

Though I've only ever had problems with a seller once, eBay were very good & froze the seller's account until she sorted it out. My daughter bought a pair of shoes on my account (honest guv!) and though they were described as size 6, they were in fact only size 5. I gave the seller the chance to sort it, but her reply was 'I don't do refunds!!!'
She refunded me in the end.  :y :y :y

A few years back we bought a small consignment of usb memory sticks from DH Gate in Chna.

They arrived fine but turned out to be clever fakes. I.e. looked big capacity but were small tricked up to appear big.

Applied for and got a full refund including return postage on the condition that we sent them back. Got the return address in CHINESE which we replicated as best we could.  We put our address on as senders.

Months later the package came back to us , with a Chinese label saying address unkown.

We get naffed off with Ebay sellers claiming to be UK sellers then the delivery comes from China.

I'm just ordering her a new USB fan (she aint allowed mains powered fans at her place), and I don't think I can repair hers yet again, it is just worn out ;D.

Hoping the (single) one I've found is identical to the one that's knackered, as most of them she has had couldn't blow a spec of dust away. It looks the same, except colour, but the image is a bit crap.

Its from egay. What could possibly go wrong ;D

Probably not allowed mains power due to the company needing all appliances to be PAT tested  :y
these clicky are not mains powered and blow quite well  :y
