Omega Car Phone
« on: 25 July 2006, 10:54:29 »

Have finally worked out what the little ariel is on my ommy...a car phone ariel:

What kind of equipment do they connect to, seems to have a co-ax end.  Do vauxhall make a car phone, and has this likely been removed from my car?

Any info appreciated.

Hi, as far as I know the only phone Vauxhall have supplied is the one that is intergrated into the radio, but the aerial is different to yours. I wouldn't bother getting one of those, they will only accept O2 or Vodafone sim cards, unless they are already your phone provider.

My MV6 was prewired for a car kit - just had to add control unit and cradle (and mic strangely enough)

My CDX has a phone kit. Came with the car, it uses a Nokia 6310,quite an old phone, but still great. There's nothing I like more when it rings and cuts the CD off with one of my mates in the car.
