Cars for Sale & wanted / Re: Omega estate wanted for swap
« on: 10 January 2016, 00:00:33 »
Think you'll be better off selling the Fiat, ideal 1st car for someone & then looking for a mig .The majority of Omega owners want more power not less IMHO.

Not so sure about that to be honest, as we've often seen Omega owners selling because they need something cheaper to run.  Nothing ventured....  ;)

That was my thought actually, I know some omega owners have more than one and maybe after an economical little runabout, and as stated, " nothing ventured" thanks for all the replies guys.

Cars for Sale & wanted / Omega estate wanted for swap
« on: 05 January 2016, 15:03:14 »
I sold my Omega estate a few years ago now and I want another one. Pre 2001, 2.5L or 3.0L, a black 2000 model would be great.

I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v with less than 45000 miles on it MOT until March 17 2016 to swap.

If anyone is interested please give me call on 01909808204.

Right...thanks guy's. I had a feel round the N/S of the bottle, I could feel something round that felt like it was stuck on it, but no wires!
Looks like bumper will have to come of to sort it. (unfortunately no 2 year old girl to fix it for me)  :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / windscreen washer level sender
« on: 24 April 2010, 17:27:57 »
Can someone tell me where abouts exactly this is on the washer bottle please?

If I take the fromt grill off, the pump is there right in front...easy access, I have tried to feel all round the bottle, but cant feel any wires for the sender.
According to the haynes, the front bumper has to be removed, is this the only way to get to it?
It's been reading as empty with the "check" light on for quite some time but this is the first opportunity I've had to have a quick look today.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: facelift audio etc, etc

OK Thanks, is the adaptor fascia a dealer part? and how would I find out if steering wheel and display adaptors were available for a particular head unit?

Talking about display units, another question, which are interchangable if any? i.e. will the full screen one from a mini face lift replace the half screen ones?

Couple of questions if someone can help please. First, is the radio aperture a standard double din size, so an aftermarket head unit would fit?, second, I know there has been some discussion before but I can't remember the outcome, is it possible to have the steering wheel controls work with  an aftermarket head unit? If I get the car I want, I'm thinking of one of those large screen(6") double din units with sat nav etc.

Right Thanks. I'll check it out and see what the problem is.

Whats that, the complete bottle or the sensor thingy?

OK Thanks, much apreciated.  :y  I'll get it sorted

My son suggested that was the problem as well actually. Is it easy to get to,  and remove, before I look?

This came on a couple of days, so yesterday I topped it up expecting the warning to go, but it hasn't done, goes when I re-set, but continues on when I switch ignition on, with "check" still lit.

Surely it doesn't have to be re-set with diagnostic plug, tech 2 does it?

You could try some switch cleaner on it. With power off(ign off) give it a squirt and push it a few time to try and clean inside up, let it dry, then try it.

Not had one apart so can't answer your other questions.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: key wont turn in ignition?
« on: 27 December 2009, 18:39:35 »
It will not be using it in the door that has done anything, its meant to be used in the door, Also, not be imobiliser, key would still turn.
Have you only got one key?
Sounds like barrel has jammed up. Try it again gently, and take pressure of the steering lock by turning the steering wheel  slightly as you insert and turn the key. Try it a few times if it doesn't work at first.

I don't know anything about these Bionic, but I would suggest you include the make and model of the unit you've bought, so the guys in the know can give you better information.
