Wanted - Auto gearbox main sump gasket
« on: 11 May 2018, 17:28:23 »

I'm a bit stuck.  The gasket I was sent along with the filter is a slightly different shape and will not fit.  I tried to get a gasket from Auto-Vaux and paid extra for next day delivery, but the item they were showing in stock is not actually there.  My car is currently sat on axlestands waiting to be put back together and I go back to work on Monday.

Has anybody got a main sump gasket for the autobox?   :-[

Just use a smear of clear silicone.

Thanks.  I'll give it a go, how long should I give it before I refill the gearbox?

I ended up making my own gasket from a sheet of neoprene, seems to have done the trick.
