right as for weight loss its just started its diet ... all i have done is remove fron seats (airbag ones) which weigh as much as a small planet each and replaced with fixed back .... be supprised how much thats saved prob about 30kg  if not more.

back seats still in as is sound deadening due to in 2 minds to run it on the road for a bit.... if not everything inc head lining will be coming out!!!

coilovers fitted which weigh half as much as original stuff...... so by the time all stripped... prob lose 200 kg.......

as for sounding like nascar....... well its been de-catted, centre box's left in for back pressure and a much smaller back box..... but in last car we had sound issures as i didn't have back box or cats on it so was running 105db's when track limits are 102db.... also lost low down torque so have changed back box to single inlet so effecticly goes 3 into 1 either side.... 2 down the car then 2 into 1 for back box..... which retain's back pressure.....

and on tick over pops and bangs!!! AWESOME!!!

Hi,
Want to pick your brains?
You have said that you have kept your centre boxes and down to a smaller backbox,
I was going to fit sports cats, get rid of the centre boxes and back to a box all in s/s,
do you not recommend getting rid of the centre boxes?
hope you can shed some light on this as i dont want to spend £500 on a system and find out that its no good!

for the outlay of 2 x sports cats and only getting 2 or 3bhp id say not worth doing mate.....

as for getting rid of centre box's well i think that would be REALLY LOUD!!!!!!! if im honest!!! as in really loud :o

i would simply fit sports back box ...... keep cats and maybe consider getting rid of centre box's if you wanted more of a howl!!!!

but if your driving day to day and just want it to sound nice , just put a stainless on it keeping all box's as a sports one will give you the sound you want.

hope this helps........ at least a little

il come out and sya it right away... I DONT RATE POWERFLOW :-X

they use poor quality stainless that almost rusts over time.........  but then again im only going by my OLD local power flow place.

im sure it would be fine if you decided to have 1 made though.

Dont rate powerflow either,  had a back box fitted, did not last five minutes before it started rusting :'(
Had a system made at Custom Chrome, cats back. Still looks good & sounds just right :y

Sorry chaps.

Have to disagree with you there, i had a powerflow full system made at a place called a deeside tyres and used it on 2 of my omegas over a period of 3 years and had no problems at all?
I think they have moved over to Custom Chrome now so i can highly recommend them! ;)

looks like youyr one of the lucky ones then !!!! i suppose it all depends on the place that does it....... me myself i use Cobra box's, tailpipe's bends etc etc....... and i have never had a problem with these last forever and sound awesome.

but end of day if you find a place that does powerflow and does it well ....... go for it. :y

The bloke who made the system is not there anymore , he was a south african bloke and used to work on the sporty bmw's out there, he knew his stuff,
I think i will bite the bullet and go back there and get a system made by them in the custom chrome pipe and box's!
