Nice pictures - especially from a Sigma lens. My favourite has to be the spiral prop-trails on the C27J.

Next year I'd very much like to go to the RIAT and take my (ex-RAF) father along with me.

Aaron - do it, make the plans now.

Jimbob. Superb set of photos. Thanks for taking the time to share them with us.

You have to marvel at the 3 dimensional precision of the display teams. You would swear the USAF planes were touching.

Cheers, yes, we were home when the B2 came over.
Nice and easy for you TD, only up the road!

Dunno which way I was facing, Id have to work it out, Was the same side as the stands.

Its well worth going, tempted to do both days next time I go.  Maybe without the youngest too who got a little bored.

It is, I know.....but whats put me off in the past...as you know its not a cheap day out....and you have to book well in advance....and then if its a crap weather day....not so much fun if its raining....
Also I wouldn't drive....id rather pay a few pounds extra and get a shuttle bus from Swindon bus station   :)

Its one of the few things that gets cheaper if you have kids, as they are free....so as a family activity it makes it a bit cheaper in a way.
We decided before Christmas we were going so got the earliest, cheapest tickets.
We camp in Fairford so not too far to drive in.
