Apparently he was advised to keep his legs crossed.
It wouldn't save him, but it would make it easier to screw him out of the ground  :D

looking with time scale and distance he flies his initial velocity must be more than 50 meters/sec as I estimate the distance more than 100 meters and nearly have a flying time of 2 secs..

imho I think that the inclination of hill and the distance  not adequate to reach that speed just by skating on a wet surface.. :-/

his speed nearly same as those hill jumpers in olympic games.. and compare to the distance and inclination of original track used there..

Can't be real, 2 foot of water could never cusion the blow of falling that far. Looks awesome though I have to admit. :o
