Mate of mine had a rotary engined Westfield about 20 years ago.

Perfectly suited engine for a seven, really. Light, low C of G, plenty of power, revs like an angry wasp. Bit of a shame that it's "challenging" to get past the noise tests at most tracks in the UK.

It's downsides don't really matter when fitted to a toy either. Terrible durability, no torque, total loss lubrication, crap emissions, poor economy and lots of noise.

Exactly. My Westfield has poor torque because the cams don't work until 4k RPM, but it'll still keep up with the traffic in 5th like a diseasel because it's so light.

Noise is the only real setback.
