Advanced driving in omega
« on: 22 September 2016, 12:38:01 »

I'm sure that many have already seen this, as it is quite old (it's uploaded in 2008, but it looks older by the cars seen on roads), but worth posting.

From times cops drove proper cars:

Not seen that before thanks very much Bojan!

Wish there was a speed readout, but he did mention at one point he was doing 60, in what appeared to be a 30, so happy days!  :y Nice to see what the old barges used to do day-to-day

Reminds me of one of my favorites 'The Liver Run' from the 80's, seem to remember that had to average 60 over 30 miles through London on a Friday afternoon.

Worth a watch if youve got 20 mins spare.  :y

Nice to see they live on  :)

I suppose all cars are 'unique' in their own way, but when there's a nice bit of history associated (old press car, the Motor Show car, famous previous owner etc..) it must make it that little bit nicer.  :)

Baggedestate now has the marked estate in that clip... assuming it's the one chasing a silver VW Sharon where the unmarked Omega ends up in a ditch ::)

First one is excellent, reminds me of doing the commentary whilst driving. Not at all easy :y :y

I have totally forgot about Road Wars. I've watched several episodes more than 10 years ago.
Back then, I had vectra, tought it was the best, and didn't care about omega much.
Now, seeing all this omega's in action - I know what I'll be watching on YT in next several weeks  ;D ;D ;D

I met Chris Gilbert a few years back when I was doing my advanced driving. Really nice chap and a very professional driver. Taught either prince Harry or Wills to drive, I forget which one. His DVDs are excellent if you are into that sort of thing.
