Fit the top pad.

Why ? Because the metal bush is designed to have it fitted... the different thickness of the original pad will allow the subframe to ride up off the main bush.

Any option on this  ::) Nope.

Can I phone a friend  ;D You can. The question is may you...

I take it the rubber pad should be removed ? Yes.
Now get it done :D

'dangle berries'  >:( >:(

If I fit the other half of the Lemforder poly bush in place of the original rubber one, it is physically impossible to bolt up together due to the bit sticking out.

I have took some pictures but can never sus out how to use dropbox ect.

If I can email them to somebody, can they put them on THIS thread please  :)

Be tight but should be doable :-\

Try supporting the centre of the plate and fitting the three outer bolts then fit the centre bolt once the plate is secured to the chassis ;)

Tried but its a no go due to the 15mm sticking out where as the OEM one sits pretty much flush.
You can get a couple of turns on the 18mm bolt without the plate but once the plate is fitted, your stuffed  >:(

Give me 5 mins, Kev has kindly offered to post the pictures once I email them to his ...........

Just to add, with the OEM pad fitted, the centre bolt and the 3 plate bolts / cover plate all bolted up to the chassis tighter then a nuns chuff

Okay, swapped jacks around and that got it high enough to do the job   :-[
One down, one to go (if it stops raining)  :y

Is there a torque measurement for these bolts or are we talking, just before you shit yourself then 1/4 of a turn  :D

Job done  :y :y

And the verdict is ...........

On the minus side
YES, you get a little bit more road noise so i'll have to turn the radio up a notch or two  :D

On the plus side

Not really pushed too much (just been around a few corners / roundabouts) but these make a hell of a difference.
It now feels like the car is getting pushed out of a corner when you boot it  :D
Before it felt like the car was rolling at the back in the first instance before it pushed out of the corner (if that make sense)  :-\
Definitely feels much better if you change direction quickly. No slop from the back end when you reverse the lock after the manoeuvre (again if that makes sense)  :-\

As always, thanks to everybody who imputed on this thread and to Peter (Vega) for the bushes  :)

Right, hot bath because I ache like a bastid  :'(
Then off to the pub for a well earned beer or 6  :D :D

Thanks lads  :)

I find the problem with this method is age related. When I was in my twenties 'just before I shit myself' would be around 450nm but at my current age it could happen before I even pick up the torque wrench.   ::)
Soooo, this method is no longer reliable for me.   ::) ;D
