What key????

Hi everybody been on site a few days now reading, reading reading. I have just purchased a 2.0 16V Cd 1997 Omega and have only one key, could you please let me know what type of key i need to use the remote facility (pic would be good if possible). Many thanks.

is it IR or RF? Best way to tell is if you have the IR dome near the sunroof dial

In that case he will need car pass, and tech2 session to program it to the car, some of our members have tech2, Mr DTM above is closest too you for programming. Get yourself a blank blade off eBay and a replacement fob, get the blade cut at local shop, then take the whole lot down to be programmed up  :)

New key fob is surprisingly cheap from Vaux at £30 or secondhand fobs can be reprogrammed :y ...programming £30 on top but as said if you can get a member to program for you using your car pass then better still...blank key itself can be cut at any key place for a few quid
