85.9p for Shell here in Nottingham.

Bloody brilliant isnt it.....? Costs me less now to run our 2.6 MV6 than it cost before running our 2.0 CD....

FANTASTIC..........!!!

What you've got to bear in mind is over 80p per litre is still a comparative "rob off" and don't forget the government are still shafting us on fuel duty and vat on fuel >:(

Regardless of the tax still being so high on fuel, I am ALOT happier paying 85.9p a ltr than I was 5 mths ago paying £1.17 a ltr.

No point comparing US prices mate as they are irrelevant to people in this country.

They are relevant, because they are back to where they were 6 years ago or more, and they fell as soon as the price of a barrel of oil fell.  Has the same happened here?

Only us British could moan about something being 30% cheaper today than it was 3 mths ago......

Some people are never happy !!

It IS relatively expensive, yes, BUT it ISNT as expensive as we were all happy to pay recently for it.....and YES we must have been happy to pay £1.17 a ltr cos if not why didnt we all blockade Stanlow......????

the way i look at it, yes petrol is 75% cheaper in the US, but!

1) They get about half the mpg we do at the best of times, i have rented loads of cars in the states from SUV's to little sh!t box things, i never got better then 20mpg, the SUV did 12mpg and that was motorway miles at a 70 cruise!  :o

2) They cars are about 700% worse than ours, apart from the Ford GT40 american cars suck!

3) You seen their roads? they are in an awful state, we drove out of New York, massive metal work on the bridge with huge bolts sticking up that you have to drive over.

Give me UK roads anyday!
