yes john i filled it with diesel magic & took it for a spin, just arrived home & it started to fade as i was parking up. checked for leaks, i removed the filter & discovered it was dry consequentley went to the lift pump. the pumps out & seems ok. swirl pot needs a clean but cant seem to shift it. :'( :)

Omega General Help / fuel filters td
« on: 07 February 2010, 14:16:16 »
is there any kind of inline filter between lift pump and fuel filter. my tractor has been suffering with a fuel starvation prob. iv,e a new filter on (this morning)  took it for a couple of miles run & as i pulled into my driveway it started to fade on me. checked the filter & there didn,t appear to have any fuel in it. the lift pump seems to be ok. clean. i put it into a bowl of diesel powered it up & it was pumping. weird i dont where to start looking :-/ :'(

pls need your advice. have exposed boot lock & all seems to work except the boot handle itself. when i pull as to open a switch type thing it looks as if its meant to push a bar down hence springing mechanism. its not. there is no downward movement when i lift the boot opener the piece thats meant to activate everything by pushing down is not. i can operate it manually, but the boot not opening still remains once shut. :) hope this makes sense Lee :y
