You can buy a blanking plate for the EGR valve so it stays in the same place but is blanked. Which is how i use to have mine, but now ive made my own blanking plate on the plenum and moved the EGR under the battery out the way, it needs to remain plugged in so the ECU thinks its still working.
I used to have the secondary air injection removed and the manifold pipes blanked, but when i fitted the 3.2 exhaust manifolds it allowed me to remove the SAI altogether
Just tried to keep my intake temps as low as possible as the omega runs far to hot, the throttle bodie heater pipe removal is another good one. it warms the throttle bodie, which obviously raises the intake temps. so i blanked the waterbridge outlet and fitted a 2.5TD header tank without the throttle bodie heater pipe attachment
Removing the aircon is the best one by far though. the aircon rad and fans just block the coolent rad, when its all removed it gets airflow straight to the coolent rad. my temp gauge sits nice and low
And my second air feed is a 3" pipe cut into the bottom of the airbox, and ducting running to the front grill next to the original intake. So it gets all the air it needs and as cold as possible going into the engine.
I just want to redo the exhaust side of it next as im still running both CATS. and although the 3.2 manifolds are alot more free flowing, they are still very restrictive. So next im going to order the custom friedrich tubular manifolds and then go full custom exhaust from there back so it gets rid of the CATS as well
Should breathe perfectly then
Hope this helps a bit, Any questions just ask

Will have to bring it round again so you can see the new look in the flesh. pictures never do it justice. Or got a little meet Sunday if your up for it mate
