Got one from a 3.0 auto facelift elite, year 2000 .I dont think transmission type makes any difference, but it would be best to check. :y
Do you want the pump with ECU attached or just the ECU by itself ?

coding has engine size and gearbox type,  you also get very weird goings on if you have a new blank ecu as I did when I bought my last car.

I think TB has read engine ECU not ABS Ecu :y

My speedo has started to go down to zero and the TC light comes on.
I only replaced it just over a year ago.

If anyone does have one, please msg me.

Just my 2p's worth .. a second hand unit may well be about to fail in exactly the same manner as your old one ... there is no way of knowing .. for that reason I had mine (on the old 2.5 ) repaired ... no need to worry about configuration as it is "your" ECU .. and it came with a 2 year warranty .... £130 then don't know how much now...

Worth a thought ?

Depends on budget imo.Second hand is a gamble, but £100 cheaper than a repair,so if someone is running the car on a tight budget (as many are these days) they may consider second hand more viable for them.

I may be wrong, but.....

I believe that provided the part numbers are identical, then it would fit any version using that part. Example is I bought a second hand one from DLK that came from a 3.0ltr, fitted it to my 2.5ltr, then TB programmed it for my 2.5ltr and its perfect :y

That's the nub .. if it is NOT from the same engine/transmission/body type (?) then it needs re-configuring via tech2 .. and not everyone is close to a tech2 .. :(

so same config or repair to get around the config issue

I had mine done here ..

http://www.bba-reman.com/catalogue/Product.aspx?product=2959
I have known them to destroy an ECU, so clearly they don't always test them after.
