Taking a contrary position of absolutely everything simply because you can does not effective opposition make.

The opposition's role in government is to provide balance and rational support as applicable.

Labour and the Lib dems have clearly forgotten this and with their demonstrations of incompetency over the last three years, they deserve to be sidelined.

I agree with you in principle regarding a viable opposition in the longer term, but as things currently stand, a solid majority government will see decisive progress :y

And the Tories have shown competency over the last three years?  ::)

Duplicity is the best description of the Tories since the referendum, as they cooked up a deal that was so bad that we'd vote to remain in the EU in the 2nd referendum that Theresa May planned all along.  ::)
The last three years were a shameful embarrassment all round.

When he turns up, stand up, gather your stuff together and make to leave. If he asks where you're going, point out that the meeting was at 8 am and that you have other things to attend to.

Take a picture of his expression and then leave :y
This all depends on what flavour of colleague he/she is. Senior colleague or junior colleague.
If junior, they should learn something from the experience. If senior, then they deserve all the respect that such an action demonstrates...after all, leaders lead, but managers (barely) manage ;)

Tell you one thing, I wouldn't make a very good farmer.
I suspect if you were, you would cope better, as you become more appreciative of it.
Fixed, I think...

The EU isn't free trade, it is a tightly controlled common market with 27 different opinions. Being out of it and genuinely free to trade independently can only be a good thing.

Lunun does have some commercial value as a global tourist destination in much the same way as places like Paris and Venice, and is in that regard highly rated. Millions of tourists every year do wonders for the local and greater economies and isn't something to be sniffed at. Although I would never volunteer to live, work or visit the place.

Likewise, it is still a leading player in the global market arena.

UK Plc still has a lot to offer.
