CAR300 Question
« on: 27 July 2009, 18:18:15 »

Hi,

I'm new here and will have a few questions over the coming days as I've just bought a pair of Omega's (one to keep and one for parts) recently.

One of the cars (an S reg CDX saloon) had a CAR300 radio fitted. Alough it works ok I know its the wrong one for the car as the car originally had the 600 unit with CD changer fitted.

The steering wheel controls don't work, but I'm not sure whether they should or not? The last CAR300 I saw was in a Corsa. The radio works on but has to be controlled from the radio - and I do get the display ok.

Any ideas? If its supposed to be like this then thats fine.

Regards ......... Robert

1st and 2nd generation CAR300 do not have steering capability, but 3rd gen does.

All look identical externally.
