I'd be up for a Kent meet, in Ashford here. Although the Omega has seen better days - lots of scratches on the bodywork!

Title: Re: any kent meets due
Post by: powerslinky on 16 July 2016, 07:00:36
Might I suggest the Toby carvery for at Gravesend DA11 8AB  for a breakfast meet.

All you can eat breakfast for £4.49   +  another £2.00 for never ending tea or coffee

Would have to be a Saturday for me though.

Also not sure if I would be in the MV6  or the Jaguar as MV6 is being considered to be sold :'(

Bit of a trek for me  . . .but would be there if it was arranged  :y

Looks like there's enough interest to call this one,we'll turn up as usual, unless...it clashes with an ABS show.I'm sure Mark will come also, as long as work commitments allow.I know he's missing his usual bit of verbal, courtesy of my very own SWMBO, who in no doubt will rise to the task with ease. :o :-X So who's up for this deffo? I've never been to the place that Al's mentioned, but we have one over this way and it always looks busy. :-\

Saturday,s are good for me too....all we need is a date now,as Al seems to of picked a suitable venue ..how about ...6th..13th..20th..or 27th August ??
Title: Re: any kent meets due
Post by: Terbs on 19 July 2016, 16:25:17
That Toby looks easy to get to......will try to support if dates work out ok. Saturday's probably best for us. Except possibly 27th as its my birthday, and its Bank Holiday weekend.
Then the decision...which car ;D

OK for me  . . .  just remember breakfast will finish around 10-30  /11 am at a Toby though .

So would suggest 9-30     or 10am absolute latest IMO.  Parking is usually good at these   .

Bummer....but all not lost. I may have to push SWMBO to the floor and beat the living crap out of her, as its her Birthday weekend. However, daughter is taking her out as an early present this weekend....so I may lay the law down that we are going to Kent for the meet on the 6th. Stick with the date, if we can't make it, so be it. :(.

Typical, not far from me, go in there quite a lot and nice food. Yet I will be 25 miles away at work. Always happens, even at the old cafe. Only ever managed to make it to one of those.

Sorry guys, won't make it tomorrow. Daughter has been admitted to hospital in Banbury with some sort of meningitis.  So will be travelling north not south, then probably staying in Brackley :(
Was really looking forward to this one, had already decided our leaving and arrival times, then arranged to go on to Ditton after to see our cousins.
Life is sometimes s**t :(

We had the same on the southern section of the M25,2 accidents with accompanying rubberneckers (tossers!) and so called 'incidents,' as apparent stranded vehicles which were already on the hard shoulder were deemed a problem enough to light up the overhead gantries like Blackpool seafront, and pedestrians in the road who actually were a motor cyclist and pillion who again were on the hard shoulder and just sitting by the bike on the crash barrier. Who in God's name employs these traffic management people? Oh! I know....it's the breweries, they fire these people for the obvious reason ::) and then the Highways Agency snap them up, and guess where they put them....bless  >:(::)
