Sooo...

You need a new MAF for a start. Again a picture of the engine bay will help a certain the correct one for your car.

A decent code reader to read the ABS ECU and see what it's complaining about, although that's potentially a wheel sensor or ECU fault.

Reseating the cluster might help with the rpm, but again, there could be an issue with the wiring that provides the signal or the cluster itself.

Any sign of moisture behind the driver's kick panel or under the carpet?

Throttle issue is probably unrelated to abs and rpm issue.

The ABS light looks very dim, if you press the TC switch does the light come on fully?

I am thinking either the cluster isn't seated fully or it isn't grounded correctly/fully.

That video is of limited use as you can't hear the engine.

Are you driving when you filmed that? Does the speedometer also not work?

How do you know the ABS is faulty?

Under bonnet pic/video would also be useful... There are some subtle differences between the Omega and Catera engines and it would be useful to see what we're trying to diagnose.

Fwiw,.the early Catera had both 2.5 and 3.0 engines but later ones were 3.0 only, and the last couple of years were DBW rather than cable throttled.

I think the 5 Series in all generations (except perhaps the E60/61 at the time) has the most tame styling of all the vehicle ranges they make.

If I had the cash i'd happily go from my F10 to a G30 or G60 but I don't so that's the end of that!

The main problem I found when looking for a used 5 series is getting the options you want in a decent example of the model you are after. I mean you can retrofit a lot of the kit but it's a lot of work which £ for £ you may as well just pay more in the beginning imho.

Assuming that someone ordered the spec you want and it's available for you to buy at a price and in a condition that meets your requirements.

I'm the same with balljoints, only replace if necessary.  The originals usually last the life of the car TBH. The pattern ones are shite.  The ones ATP use are shite from the beginning

Once you replace the ball joints, it becomes a bolt on serviceable part.

Yes the ATEC arms from ATP are cheap and cheerful, but with the poly bush mod they are a cost effective solution. Especially when you consider that the genuine arms each cost more than a scrap Omega. Even refurbishing the factory arms with genuine VX/GM parts costs far more than the ATP wishbones.

An alternative approach would be to treat the ATP arms as disposable but keep the original GM arms and refurbish them with genuine bushes/ball joints and probably Poly bush the fronts ready for when the ATP ones fail. And that of course presumes the wishbones are the ones it left the factory with... Which is highly unlikely.

At the end of the day, what works for one won't always work for someone else.

Speaking personally, I have fitted ATP arms to my own cars and have always found them to out perform their price point.

I hadn't spotted the mileage discrepancy. Either the person who bought it from you has turned the dealer over and they're too stupid to have done even a basic check, or the dealer is a slippery as a mouldy trout. Or both.

Yes but then you'd address it head on in the advert. There's clearly a discrepancy and not mentioning it suggests a level of deception.

When I swapped the clocks on my Ex Plod it was noted in the service book, both the end mileage on one set and the start mileage on the replacement. A third cluster replacement was adjusted to accurately reflect the combined total of the previous two
