Any more happening soon before the weather gets to cold? Haven't been able to get to any yet but wondering if there is any in the pipeline? October towards the end anywhere 25,26,27,28?

we did santa pad last year on 14/15 Oct - was bloody freezing...

doubt there will be more camping ones this year now

Be good to get a meet or a Cambelt party in before the end of the year..... keep missing them due to other arrangements!

Well since we have had a bad summer you never know the Autum could be very warm or at least another meet before the year is out. Camping could be an option depends on the weather I suppose. The next time I am off is in October 25,26,27 a nice long weekend.

So who's up for a meet in October for 25,26,27? Needs to be somewhere where everyone can get to easily and be able to do what they need to do. Also could be in a location where we could camp the night so lots of drinking can take place. Caravaners will be ok as they have heating campers could be ok as well if you bring a heater but needs to be with electric hook up.

Hopefully I'm not being too selfish with location, but we have a very good campsite local to me that is open all year round. It's part of the Lea Valley development and is situated in a very pleasant location by the River Lea called Dobbs Weir on the outskirts of Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. There's a really nice pub situated next to it overlooking the river and they serve good food all day. It's within fairly easy reach of people from the North and South, although would be a bit of a trek you the Scottish contingent.

If there's any interest, post up and I'll look into it.

Bit too far for us

Could make it say to Berks, Wilts, Oxon but Herts is just too much I fear.

Have to see if Tony is interested in helping with this. Presume we would need to block book his Saturday.

Not so sure of the feasability of the block booking bit as he currently hires ramp time from Kipling Garage as he is not directly employed by them. When job is done you pay Kipling and Tony then settles his fee/percentage on a monthly basis with Kipling. He is trying to get his own place set up not so far from Hemel but is currently being held up in his efforts by landlord/lease problems.

Worth a call or PM though....

So whats the destination then? and whats the dates then? I can do, as said, 25,26,27 of October. We need to sort something out as to give everyone plenty of notice. Its only 1 hour 30 mins away from me 78.5 miles M4, M25, A10

If the dates and location suit you then why not start a new thread inviting others to participate. Perhaps a PM to Bob to get fuller details of the site or indeed if he could enquire as to availabilty/costs? Once posted upwould be easier to see the interest and take it from there. I won't start one as its far too far for me to travel.....
