Booked collection of the XF replacement, Wednesday pm
Didn't they "forget" last time, when you went to pick up the XF?

Changed the shitty plain plastic door handles on the Trolley for some nice painted ones with chrome strips... Beginning to look a bit posher 8)

Now need to wash the rest of it having cleaned and polished the handle areas ::)

Put a new uprated varta battery onto the car as the old one wouldn't last more than a week at the best of times.

Retrieved my wheel washing mitt from the fence, where I'd hung it yesterday, then promptly forgot.

Due to the sub zero temps, it had frozen, so hadn't moved despite the high winds battering TB Towers.

Hoping to give it a wash over the weekend. Its filthy and that really annoys me. Problem is its fickin freezing outside and toasty indoors.  ::)
Seems like about a fortnight ago it was far to hot to do anything other than sit in the shade and drink very cold beer.  :o

Ah, the cheap Mercedes look. You'll be needing some stick on chrome wheelarch trims and some shiny but scuffed wheels next. Although that will look even sillier on an A-class than it does on an E ;D

;D don't really go for the whole blingy Lewisham look... But the sun faded plain plastic they use on the base models make the whole car look even cheaper than it was/is...

Besides, the plastic front wings don't have any rust to hide :P

As for wheels, I have a plan... :D

Retro fitted a front armrest to the Trolley...

Matches the seats, (Alpaca grey leather), and all the mounting gubbins was still available from Mercedes, so the hardest part was cleaning 16 years of grime off the armrest.  :-X

In due course, although as it passed its MoT with the minimum of fuss, it will be staying for work purposes.

Still trying to track down further faults, following its argument with a huge pothole at proper speed last week.

Ouch!  :(

That around brackers? I've noticed the roads round Northants have gone from rather awful to an absolute joke recently.  ::)

Could be, given the mileage, that a decent clout was enough to destroy already worn out bushes... Heavy cars are tough on suspension components, especially if driven hard, but you won't necessarily feel it from the driver's seat as 2.5t and a decent wheelbase make for a surprisingly stable ride inspite of worn out parts...

Other thing you might find is that an arm/link has moved out of place on a bush. Also, if aluminium, check for distortion and cracks.
