The firm I use normally charge me £6.50 to get home from the pub (About 5 miles) and were charging double for Christmas and New Year... Both drivers were patient, helpful and friendly so got £20 :y :y Especially as the roads were dreadful :o :o

How about £15.00 for just short of 3 miles on a normal, non bank holiday evening.  >:(
Most of them should be wearing a mask and shout "Stand and deliver !" not ask "Where to ?"
As for charging double on Christmas day, fair e'nuf I suppose, but can't help thinking "You chose to work it mate !"

I dont fancy it in the slightest.  Had a mate in Rotherham who did the taxi's, loads of non payers and agro.

Another mate is a cabbie in Southampton, 2 attempted stabs, quite a few run off's with loads of other agro, now has a steel plate fitted in the back of his seat, and the material has a lot of damage where he thinks they have tried it on.
