got mine "major" serviced on monday.....   came back with a note saying it now needs 2 new centre boxes, and the cam cover gasket is leaking....   so it's booked in again.... 

between this and that  (new freezer believe it or not) also eating into my cash reserves...  i may have to stick with it...  or buy a roller skate to use on mundane running around (i gave that little green pug to my step brother when he left his company car equipped job... )


if i had it to spare...  i wouldn't mind spending that much on one....  but it doesn't even have the colour screen system... 

now to manage the £3k budget i had last week...  i'd have to sell the existing one as well i reckon.  Originally   i had planned to keep it around while the new one proved itself....  then spruce it up for sale....   (all the important stuff is kept on top of, but noisy air con compressor could be replaced, and air con seals sorted....    and   a load net added... )


i KNOW it would be a lot cheaper to do it myself.... but really.... it's too damn cold,

When I bought mine and got it sorted with a tow bar it was discovered that someone had previously changed the self-levellers for "normal" shocks ... his advert had included the standard phrase for an elite of "self levelling suspension".

I rang him expecting an argument that didn't happen ... he apologised and instantly made arrangements for me to have them changed to brand new self levellers at no cost to me at all.

Not many places would do that ..

Pete (Miggy) paid a lot of money for an omega from this guy, when he tried to sell it on, he was going to have to take a whacking haircut. Think he ended up putting it into storage.

I paid  a lot of money for one from him ... 2 years ago just before the prices plumetted .... but I have no regrets ... you get what you pay for and I got a lot of car, with a lot of toys, for the money that at that time I was willing to pay... ok its is worth an awful lot less than it was on the market .. but it is worth an awful lot more to me than it's monetary value.

No-one is forced to buy from him .. but I will say that all his cars are good ones..   You pays your money and you makes your choice ...

Expensive, well prepared, backed up car from RB ... or a cheap, unknown and risky "pop" on fleabay.

I chose my way .. some agree, some don't ... C'est La Vie as they say
