Thanks to the MOT History check available for mainland cars, ive found several omega's with questionable mileage claims in their adverts.

I assume that clocking one of these is dead easy....

Is this as prolific on the mainland too?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Removing the standard HU

Been a while, but I'm after another omega.

Specifically want a FL, preferably Elite spec.

Want to dumb the standard HU as it really is terrible by todays standards, but i have a question, if dump it what do i lose?

I remember in my old omega, i got a headlamp range warning on the dash. does that menu system still work without the hu?

My satnav in the omega seems to think northern ireland is in scotland. im using a 2008 Navteq disc for UK and Ireland on a CD-R...would the CD-R be causing the issue? i know the NCDC dont like CD-R's but im testing just, its been working fine for a few weeks now and its only just started this problem when i got the CID fitted at the weekend (which still needs the trip computer reprogrammed, help there would be good...ie the codes for my particular car and/or where in TechII you can change it!)

I can buy the genuine disc for £67.10 delivered from the Navteq site but before i do id like to work out whats going on!

i have a NCDC2013 but i would like to upgrade to the CID from the GID....

but whats involved? extra cabling? obviously the CID...ive read about programming and pairing and hte likes but im a little confused. if someone could lay that out nicely for me it would be much appreciated.

and i suppose i should ask....how much are we talking?

Bearing in mind that the NCDC2013 MUST stay, there is no option for replacing it.....am i better to install BOSE in my facelift (BOSE is coming from a facelift) or upgrade all door speakers, pair of boot subs and all amplified (of course)

i know the aftermarket will be more expensive, but is it worth the extra?!
how does the BOSE compare!? ive never heard it but i know that BOSE make some top quality sounds!
I do love my trance music...

im in a real pickle here

have the opportunity (hopefully) to buy the full BOSE system for my facelift elite.

The system is coming from another elite, however, it has a different HU, its a CCR2006.
My elite is a 2000 with the NCDC2013, is the BOSE system compatible with it!?

Can the beam pattern be adjusted on xenons even though they have auto levelers?

i feel the beam is too low really, particularly on one side

Ive been poking about with my new omega this morning and found that the NCDC 2013 has an external source....would this faciliate connecting an ipod up to it?

i have an alpine unit but id prefer to keep the OEM system in place....any help appreciated

Omega General Help / Omega auto box differences!?

Are there any?

going for an auto 3.0/3.2 this time, and was wondering do the auto boxes have any differences between the Elite and MV6's, maybe a CDX if i find a good one.

Do the autos have a sport button for example?!

Also, 1,2 & 3 is selectable.....can i drive off in 1 and shift manually to 2 then to 3 and finally to D. and then back down. sort of like a crude tiptronic

Omega General Help / LPG; recommend a system for DIY

ok guys, was all for selling up there until i read that a DIY LPG system could be bought for £899. compared to nearly £2500 for a fitted system in Northern Ireland i would love to fit the DIY system and keep her!

so, the system at £899 was from James omegamechanic.com website, no offence to James, is it a decent system? is there better or worse out there?!

any help appreciated to keep an OOF member in an omega lol!
