I looked into something like this a while back, could have been from the same outfit, if it's the same, it was Astra / Vectra based so unlikely to work in the Omega due to the difference in the CanBus workings.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Telematics Aerial plug
« on: 14 June 2020, 14:10:22 »
If I remember correctly about 13 years ago I manage to source some plugs for the Telematics, fairly sure I got them from Hirschmann direct in Germany as couldn't find anyone else that even new about what they were.

Thinking about it now if I was to go down that route again and looking at the above pics of the socket would probably do the same and replace the socket with BNC/TNC or SMA type, also remember the plugs I got were a sod to make up as the crimp  wasn't good with a standard 50ohm crimper.

Also isn't the footwell plug for the Telematics the same plug or did I did I just dream that bit  :-\

Well, according to my Ex Misses, when she borrowed an Ex Plod Red DPG 3.0 MV6 off me, about 1 and a half Junctions of the M25 at 70 mph with no Aux Belt, which I suppose equates to around 4 mins before it died of death.

Later that day when I went to see the Car the only real words of sympathy I received from Her was, "well, is there any way I can recover the Petrol from it because I put 80 quids worth in", but on reflection I can now understand a Women's logic and she was correct to ask, as that was the only thing left in the Car that was any real value.

As for the No Water and No Oil, I can confirm that She does perform these tests on her Cars on a regular basis and from experience the Nissan,s and Toyota's will run the longest, anything with a Ford or Vauxhall Badge on it doesn't stand a chance.

Was about to say, but sounds like you've already suss,ed it, re wire the 2 X 2 Ohm coils in series to 4 Ohm single, just make sure you have rewired them in phase and not out of phase.

The rewire wire also means you now running mono, which is fine for Sub Base, so depending on the Amp, some give options of Mono Sub Base out or Bridge to two sub base channels together, by the way a lot of Sub Base Amps will happerly run down down to 2 Ohms anyway, will either be in the spec sheet or a switch.

As for fitting the Bose Box it just fits behind the passinger side panel, no holes needed, more of a feel it rather than hear it method. There not bad boxes actually, I prefer them more than over the Saloon Bose rear twin parcel shelf set up, more of a deeper sub feel in the car, but just remember there not the most power rated by today's standards so hardly going to unblock any ear wax if you know what I mean.

Http/1.1 Internal Server Error 43531

Been getting a lot of it recently, do reload then seems ok, my end ?
I'm not seeing that.  If you are on a mobile carrier, which I know you often are, it could be related to the transparent proxies they put in the way?

The error number isn't valid for our software I don't think, you'd just get the standard, normal http error codes.
Hmm, yea EE, started having some other issues as well crop up. So I changed some of the EE APN Settings from ipv4 / ipv6 to ipv4 only.

Seems to have sorted it, for now, getting faster Web load times now as well, strange, but works.

Only message I've been getting for ages is 'Not Secure' in the address bar.
Well where you come from Steve, anything that isn't bolted down isn't Secure.   ;D ;)
I'm pretty sure that's racist, or something  ;D
Racist no, Scousist.  ;D

Its that bad, I might get some more routers and just blat the 2.4Ghz band, and move to a 4G dongle myself. Though then I cant use network devices.

Obviously, I'd have to turn off those 13 routers when I wanted to fly something, or play with the RC cars.
Pretty much what I use, have done for years ever since BT thought it was a good idea to dribble 1 to 4mbs on Broadband around here.

I use a Netgear Nighthawk LTE Gigabit Router not the best but it's a decent LTE Cat16 spec which delivers me 250 to 420mbs down and a reasonable 150 up, all depending on what's happening on the M25 just down the road, the 4G SIM which is actually a 5G UL Plan deliverers my needs and doesn't cost me much because been with them for years now and beats anything that Virgin or BT can currently offer.

Prior to the Nighthawk I was using a Cradlepoint LTE Router with all the bells and whistles untill they decided last year they wanted $200 a year Licence just so I can access my Router, so that went, which was a shame because it was a bullet proof device.

Also go an Huawei 5G LTE Box sitting around somewhere doing nothing just waiting for EE or Voda to give me some 5G Coverage around here.
For me, as the router <> Internet connection is rock solid, and its the device <> router (well, AP in my case) thats failing.  Hence was thinking of a 4G dongle plugged straight into the laptop.  Checked my dongles yesterday, looks like they are all 3G.

Decisions decisions
5+ years ago I would have said a 3G dongle will work fine but there's not much Bandwidth left on 3G these days most of it has been ReFarmed for 4G+  use.

4G Dongles now are pretty much useless for proper LTE speeds , 4G+ / LTE Plus is all about Carrier Aggregation and Multi Aerial MIMO these days something a Dongle probably won't support unless it's a really good one

Brave Man using Cheap eBay USB cables, especially C or Micro type, been there got the Shirt.

I only use good known or branded types now and pay a bit more, works out cheaper in the long run rather than getting the USB Ports repaired or replaced.  ;)
